Words to a tree - Why your own inner being the centre of your life is

"One day, looking at you just the same way I used to contemplate you so many times before, your very existence spoke to me so powerfully and in such clarity, that its message penetrated deep inside my heart and will be cherished there forever.

I realized that your appearance wants to remember us of ourselves, of the life of a person just like you and me. We are beings with roots - our family, our culture - and we are beings with a crown full of aspirations for a life filled with wonders and abundance. Since our first breath of air until our last one, we endeavour to GROW; to grow in tallness, to grow in wideness; to grow ao we might become the person we desire to be.

As we´re walking through life, each experience and each person we´re sharing shorter or longer periods of our time with, are just like one of these beautiful branches of yours: big branches and small ones, thick and thin ones, week branches and strong branches - some of these branches even seem so big and strong, that they could pass as your centre trunk. The same way we sometimes mistake these bigger branches of our experiences to be our trunk.

But then, my eyes see the centre of all that you are: your majestic and powerful tree trunk. There might come a strong wind, tearing off some of your branches, but rarely is he strong enough to break your trunk. Know I understand why - after you´ve dedicated enough time to strengthen your roots - you continue to grow assuring to form a strong trunk - the centre of your being - first."

Just as the tree trunk forms the centre of this beautiful tree, so are you as a person, so is your own personal development the centre of your tree of life. The many different experiences lived, people met or paths you´ve chosen to walk along, are YOU growing in wideness; but they are not THE CENTRE of who you are.

In between of all these experiences together, in between all the high and low tides of life, in between all that comes and goes, the MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT YOU CAN FEEL YOURSELF, AND THAT YOU KEEP SEARCHING FOR WHO YOU ARE AND DEFINING WHO YOU WANT TO BE - OH! AND THAT YOU MIGHT NEVER EVER ABONDAN YOURSELF!

"THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT YOU CAN FEEL YOURSELF, AND THAT YOU KEEP SEARCHING WHO YOU ARE AND DEFINING WHO YOU WANT TO BE - OH! AND THAT YOU MIGHT NEVER EVER ABONDAN YOURSELF!"

"THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT YOU CAN FEEL YOURSELF, AND THAT YOU KEEP SEARCHING WHO YOU ARE AND DEFINING WHO YOU WANT TO BE - OH! AND THAT YOU MIGHT NEVER EVER ABONDAN YOURSELF!"

Next time you see a tree, take a time to contemplate him and remember that he can survive without some of its branches....but if the tree lacked its centre: How could he continue growing?

When I look at my own tree of life I feel satisfaction, because I know that each and every single branche adds beauty to my tree. I am secure and calm, because I feel the power of my own centre, of my own being. And I rejoice in the pleasant anticipation of all the branches that are yet to come. But above all I am rejoicing in this: TO CONTINUE GROWING just as this beautiful tree does.
